Review of the Cream Compact Foundation!
This is the brand new line of foundations from The Body Shop that will replace Natures Minerals. In this line you will find a Cream Compact Foundation, Liquid Foundation and Mineral Powder Foundation. Out of these two I have bought the Cream Compact and Liquid. This is in the shade 202 Natural Vanilla.
What does the Extra Virgin Mineral Makeup containts? “This cream-to-powder mineral foundation contains pure minerals and cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil for an immaculate, matte finish. It has an ultra-blendable formula and contains a custom brush for flawless application. It is: Medium to full coverage. Smooth, matte finish. Integrated cruelty-free brush. Contains SPF 15 and is Fragrance & Paraben-free”. So The body Shop are paying attention to the trend with going paraben free and as always is cruelty free!
The Cream Compact comes in a trendy designed round compact (anyone else than me that thinks of brands like Armani?) that comes with a mirror, the product and a brush. The brush is really good in this case, so this is one that you shouldnt throw away but keep! The compact comes with 8.5 gr of product. The shade range is big and forgiving so you will find a shade thats right for you.
It will fit perfectly in a makeup bag, on the go or just for use at home. Both design wise, and product wise this is a real hit! When you apply the product it goes from a light cream to powder and it blends so flawless into the skin! You apply it, and forget it! And to be honest, no matter how good a foundation is not many do it. It goes on the skin and is easy to blend while giving great coverage and spf. Its a heaven sent product that made me go “must buy more”. So, two thumbs up for this.
The product itself comes in a compact form, I recommend to use brush for hygenic reasons. Use a foundation brush to apply it, and blend it out with the brush thats included. I did the swatch with my fingers, and it is so light and creamy. Not like other compact that you apply and then wait, and wait and still remains sticky, this actually is a lovely cream to (hydrating and covering) powder. No need to use a powder with this! It may sound to good to be true, but this is a great product! (could add a few more ! to get the point through lol) The brush is firm, soft and nice for touch ups.
The shade range is big, so you are sure to find one for you. The Creamy Compact is best for dry to combination skin, if you have oily it may require some powdering or blotting otherwise it may make your skin shine a bit. Otherwise, apply the creamy foundation and you are ready to go. If you have oily skin I would go for the Extra Virgin Mineral liquid or mineral powder foundation. It blends flawless, feels good and does your skin good so, this is something I highly recommend you to try!
Hope you liked this and come back soon!
